There are many thousands of words in the English language. However, we use just a fraction of the words available to us. The question is: how do we discover new words?
The Answer: Word Stream Vocabulary Enhancer!
Word Stream selects random words from its internal dictionary, and scrolls them beautifully across your iPhone's screen. When a word appears that you're unfamiliar with, simply tap it and the definition is instantly displayed. If you want to ensure that you'll remember a word you've discovered, you can add it to your favorites list or email it to yourself or a friend.

It happens to us all: we have a great idea, and we promise to ourselves to remember it, only to forget it later. Or we make a goal to invent a new idea every week, only to have it slip our mind over and over. Other times we do remember our goal, but we just can't think of any ideas!
Our new app, Ideas, is designed to solve each of these three problems. It provides a centralized place to record all of your ideas. It will remind you if you haven't entered or updated any ideas recently. If you can't think of any ideas, the built-in Idea Generator will help inspire you.

As you can no doubt tell, there have been a lot of changes around here. The entire Pocketglow website has been redesigned to give it a cleaner, sleeker look. The underlying changes to the site will also allow us to create a more tailored, customized experience for our users.
The biggest recent changes, however, is in our App line-up. Harmonica, our top selling product, recently received a major update to version 2.0. The new version of Harmonica features the ability to learn real songs on the Harmonica. In addition, the user interface has been redesigned to make it look a lot nicer. Harmonica 2.0 is available as a free update to all existing Harmonica customers.
True Drums 3D has also been updated with a more precise timing engine, to make sure the built-in demos play exactly right. We also pumped up the volume of the cymbals, which was a popular request from our users.
Perhaps even more exciting, there is now a free “Lite Edition” of True Drums 3D. We hope this will encourage new users to try the app, and we're confident that once they do, they'll love it as much as we do.
Finally, there have been some improvements made to SpeakEasy Russian and SpeakEasy Ukrainian. These improvements increase the responsiveness of the audio playback, and tidy up some other niggling issues.

Pocketglow is the new home for iPhone apps by Benjamin McDowell. Benjamin McDowell is the guy behind Harmonica, one of the top 10 paid music apps of 2008. He also created the hit language apps SpeakEasy Russian and SpeakEasy Ukrainian.
Benjamin has many exciting projects in the pipeline for the coming months. The first of these is True Drums 3D, which we are really thrilled with. True Drums 3D is a true 3D drum kit on a real 3D stage. It's beautifully animated and sounds great! The app is currently working its way through the review process at Apple, but you can get a sneak preview of it in our promotional videos. True Drums 3D is just the beginning of great things to come this year.
